JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles works closely with the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles and the Los Angeles offices of Japan Foundation, JNTO (Japan National Tourism Organization), and JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) to maximize efforts, support respective goals, and create synergy.
Consulate-General of Japan in Los Angeles
The Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles’s duties in its jurisdiction of Southern California and the state of Arizona include protecting the interests of Japanese nationals; developing policy partnerships and business/economic relations with Japan; and introducing Japan’s culture, society, current affairs and government policies.
Japan Foundation
The Japan Foundation is an agency dedicated to the promotion of international cultural exchange under the auspices of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Through its worldwide network, the Japan Foundation conducts a wide variety of programs concerning the arts and culture, language education, and Japanese studies and intellectual exchange.
JNTO
Japan National Tourism Organization Los Angeles Office is located in downtown Los Angeles. Our mission is promoting Japan in terms of tourism through sales, marketing, and other promotional activities with the cooperation of the travel industry in the United States.
JETRO
JETRO, (Japan External Trade Organization) with 6 U.S. offices, is a government-related organization that promotes mutual trade and investment between Japan and overseas countries. Established in 1958, our main focus today is to advance business opportunities for Japanese companies abroad and support increased investment and economic partnerships with our major trade partners.
