Japanese Food Lab explores the various possibilities of Japanese ingredients and dishes. In the Home Cooking Series, the JAPAN HOUSE culinary curator demonstrates how easily Japanese ingredients and recipes can be prepared at home and enjoyed with friends and family.
Temaki (hand roll) sushi is an easy way to make sushi at home. It’s a popular type of sushi that uses a variety of ingredients on fresh sushi rice and crispy nori seaweed, rolled into a cone and enjoyed by hand. Making temaki sushi is a fun activity that brings people together, especially by throwing a roll-your-own-sushi party.
Join us at JAPAN HOUSE for a demonstration and hands-on temaki sushi making workshop where participants will learn the basics of how to prepare sushi. Choose from a range of fresh ingredients, such as raw fish, seasonal vegetables, meat, and cheese to create your own temaki sushi. Participants will also be treated to authentic miso (soybean paste) soup, using the finest Japanese ingredients and prepared during the demonstration.
*Workshop will use soy products and is not suitable for those with soy allergies.
